Ingredion Korea Wins National Award for Export Contributions

SEOUL, South Korea – In late 2014, Ingredion Korea earned an award for achieving over $10 million (US) in exports at the 51st Korean Trade Day ceremony, organized by the Trade Ministry of Korea and the Korea International Trade Association.

“I would like to thank all Ingredion Korea executives and employees for their hard work and determination to achieve this prize,” said JK Koo, President and CEO, Ingredion Korea.

Ingredion Korea has achieved the increasing trend of exporting over three consecutive years. High fructose corn syrup and starch ingredients are the main products the company exports to the Philippines, Vietnam and other Asian countries. Galacto-oligosaccharide (GOS) products, which were recently launched, have also started to be exported to China and have contributed to the export growth. 

“Ingredion Korea is keen to establish a solid reputation in the Asian market with well-qualified specialty sweetness products and will continue to contribute towards business expansion and also local economic development,” said JB Yoon, Export and Supply Chain Management Director, Ingredion Korea.
